Imposter Syndrome

I walk in, take my seat
The first day won't be tough
With all my years learning
Its gotta be enough

All my peers are sailing
And yet I'm so far behind
It could be any time
That this all unwinds

Is this the day they find out?
Is this the day they’ll know?
Is this the day they find out?
And send the imposter home?

The hours drag on like lead
But weeks go spinning by
There's no time to sleep
When I'm keeping up this lie

The supervisor checks in
My mind is going haywire
She says your work is great
But everything's on fire
